About Mary Lennon
I started my company to specifically target the increasing number of senior citizens who have chosen to remain in their homes and the growing market of single women who own their own homes. Both these groups have small repairs that are deemed "not worth it'" by general contractors. That is where I want to help.
I am the founder and sole employee of Lennon's Small Jobs. I gained my repair experience by maintaining my 100 plus year old Victorian frame home and helping my friends and relatives with their projects. To maintain and enhance my skills, I attend workshops given by manufacturers and by the Upper Bucks County Technical School.
Some of my professional associations and involvements include:
- Member, Delaware Valley Stencilers (a chapter of International Decorative Artisans League) where I meet with professional and amateur faux finishers.
- Volunteer for Women Build, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County
- Supporting Member, Bucks County Women’s Business Forum
- Member, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce
My business is a Certified Pennsylvania Women Business Enterprise.
I am registered in Pennsylvania as a home improvement contractor PAOAGHIC: 3196.
In 2008, the Pennsylvania Legislature passed the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act. The law requires that all contractors who perform at least $5,000 worth of home improvements per year register with the Attorney General's Office. Consumers in Pennsylvania are able to verify my registration by visiting the PA Attorney General website.
This year, I taught simple plumbing repairs at A Day for All Women held at Bucks County Community College.
